What Do You Think About…

…turning Planet Books into a bi-monthly reading club?  I want to keep Planet Books alive but make it more realistic for our busy schedules.  I thought that if I posted a voting poll every other month and alloted two months to read a book instead of one than maybe we could find time to read a book together and also read some things on our TBR shelf.  I have my “33 of 33” challenge I gave myself this year and I am going to post about all the books I read this year, not just the books we vote for here on Planet Books.  I would love to hear/read your thoughts on this idea and if you think the change should be implemented now or if a monthly reading club is what you want to stick with.  Please let me know what you think by posting your comment to this post.  If we go to a bi-monthly schedule then I will post the next voting poll at the end of February.  If you prefer to keep Planet Books the way it is then I will post the new voting poll next Wednesday, January 30th.

  1. I think monthly is fine, or bi monthly if that’s what you prefer. For me it wasn’t about time this month, it was about the choice of books. For others, time might have been more of an issue. If a monthly selection is a problem for you than you should definitely change it!

  2. As of this moment I am going to change it to a bi-monthly reading club. I have so many books on my TBR shelf (especially after Christmas and I still have yet to get to the furniture store to buy a new short bookshelf) that I feel guilty buying a new book every month for my on-line book club. I am going to cut down on my real-life book club too for this same reason. I will continue to read any comments that come in though. Thanks for the input ladies!!

  3. You know, I’ve been thinking about coordinating my blog to be an online book club, but the reading choices would be whatever is decided by my real life book club. I think I just might do that. Kill two birds with one stone and all that. Hmmmmm.

I will still check in on whatever’s going on at Planet Books every other month.

    Take care.
