Yesterday was a cool and rainy Sunday here in Okinawa. The highlight of the day was purchasing a three shelf bookshelf and my loving husband putting it together for our study. Now I have new space to fill with new books and a proper place to put all our holiday gifts. It has also become my TBR shelf and though there are many titles on the shelves, it makes it wasier to see them and decide what will be my next read. Actually watching the Showtime series, “The Tudors” has helped clinch my next read after “My War…Killing Time In Iraq”. The next title for me will probably be “The Other Boleyn Girl” by Philippa Gregory. Now I’m sure a bunch of you may have already read this and are anxiously awaiting the movie which will be in theatres in February but until then, “The Tudors” Season 1 is available on DVD and it is just fantastic. It is about King Henry VIII and his many adventures and misadventures in love, politics and life. Both Boleyn sisters are in “The Tudors” and the story is so juicy and wonderful.

Oh, I didn’t know you could already get The Tudors on DVD – I really must add it to my Netflix list!
I’ve been watching the Tudors from Netflix too, and love it! TOBG was one of my favorite books in 2007.
I’m heading over to the base right now to return disc 1 and rent disc 2. I can’t wait to watch it!!! I also watched the trailer for TOBG Motion Picture coming out next month and just started to drool. 🙂
I guess the second season begins in March on Showtime. Damn living in a foreign country and not having real tv!! 🙂
