Spring Is Busting Out All Over!

Spring has definitely arrived here on Okinawa.  It seems like overnight the weather went from comfortable and cool to warm and muggy.  YUCK!!  There are other places you can see that spring has arrived.  I guess one is here at WordPress.  They changed the layout of the Dashboard section (for those of you not blogging on WordPress the Dashboard is where the blogger goes to check stats and write posts).  I don’t know what I think yet.

Another place that shows signs of new life is the book industry.  The Washington Post has a list of new titles being released this spring and there are a lot of books I will be checking into.  Yesterday I picked up Bill Bryson’s “A Walk In The Woods“.

Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail (Official Guides to the Appalachian Trail)

I’m about halfway through Jodi Picoult’s “Change of Heart”.  I’m really enjoying this book and it’s characters.  The story lines are interesting and I like the way the characters are linked together.  The Washington Post has an article about the book HERE

  1. Dude…have you read this yet? Shyla here…anyhow, my husband and I read this years ago and I kept buying copys and giving them away for people to read so we don’t have a copy. It is really good because it will make you laugh out loud…sometimes everyone needs to read a book just to make you laugh. Did I email you about Wild Swans? Have you read it? That one is not for laughing, but a book everyone should read.
    Had fun @ lunch!

  2. I haven’t read this yet. I picked up and gave it a shot but if the story doesn’t grab me quickly than I decide that it’s just not the right time for that book.
I enjoyed lunch too!! We’ll have to get together again soon.
